I too equated the Haiti disaster and the not so long ago Holocaust with abortion. The numbers of the "silent" un-natural disaster are staggering yet mostly ignored. I am ready to be silent no more!

Pat, I go to so few movies but I saw this one. I loved "Julie & Julia". My hubby bought me the DVD and I've seen it several times now. It's going to be one of my favorite movies. I love cooking and blogging.

I read Pioneer Woman too. I don't have her cookbook though. I almost went to a book signing she had when she was in the Phoenix area for her book tour. But I read the next day that the crowds were out the door.

She has a social network called Tasty Kitchen that I joined. I even wrote about it on Heart Choices last week. It's a great place to find and share recipes.
The pot pie sounds great.

I love to cook - love to EAT [way too much] and LOVED the movie, Julie and Julia which I saw in the theatre with my oldest daughter when it first came out.

Sounds like a great recipe here for the CPP... but I do use the refrigerated pie crust [roll out] have never once had anyone say they could tell - and I'm a picky crust eater myself - because I love the crust on pies and it better be good. The roll out kind is as good as my own but a whole lot easier.

I thoroughly enjoyed that movie!!! I saw it at the theatre, but want to rent it now and watch it again. I related to it on so many fronts.

Your chicken dinner sounds delicious! I quite honestly am like a foreigner in my kitchen. No talent there at all. Regardless of how hard I try, I rarely get anything to turn out like the picture in the cookbook. Thankful for a patient, understanding husband :)

I LOVED that movie... and I LOVE the Pioneer Woman! Her friend Hyacinth has the best recipe for chicken stock I've ever used. Who knew? I've always done chicken stock but she adds a few ideas that crank it up a notch.

I cannot begin to express the beauty & contentment I experienced this weekend; from the unbelievable cabin, to the view of those gorgeous mountain leaves, to the sweet word of God flowing through my sister -- it was all perfect! My trip was blessed from all sides; my sisters, my mom, my husband and my kids all contributed to the wonderful weekend. There was never a minute when I felt rushed, pressured or uncomfortable. It was just all good! Thanks for the memory!
